It looks like Erin and I would have to fight over who was in charge of the ship!
For some reason, this isn't posting very well, but this is what it says:

Even though there's no legal rank on a pirate ship, everyone recognizes you're the one in charge. Russian? I think not. (No offense to the Russians out there.) Why? Does the cosmos not know that that is one of the only places on earth I do not have a desire to visit? It's cold! Hello? Okay, so I might want to visit Moscow in the summer, but only after I had seen Spain, Italy, Germany, and basically every other European nation. How come Josh got to be French? *said in an annoying whining voice* Maybe it was because I was concerned about terrorism? I'm taking it again!

(A few minutes later...) Okay, so there were a few questions that I wasn't quite 100% on and I decided to change them. Now I'm Italian! Much better. Way to be true to yourself, Lolly. Just got ahead and change whatever doesn't fit into your mold of self-perception. Must work on that.

I have this urge to go hiking, bike ridding, sky diving and Rocky Mountain climbing and to ride a bull named BluManchu for 2.7 seconds. And, yes, Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying" has been in my mind for days! That song could possibly be one of the most annoying songs to ever get stuck in someone's head. The sentiment to be "outdoorsy" is my own though. On second thought, heaving my corpulent flesh on a bike around the streets of Provo may not be the most humane thing to subject the population to. I love warm weather. I crave to go on a picnic in the canyon with Josh. YUM (To both the picnic AND Josh!)

My parents were in town this weekend and we got to spend some time with them. I love my mom and dad so much and I truly enjoy spending time with them. Grandma Lockhart(mom's mom) and Grandpa Shea(dad's dad) came along. It was weird to have that combination of grandparents, because usually Grandma Shea made it a threesome. Of course the thought of "What if they got together?" came into all of our minds. My brother actually mentioned it. Totally weird! I think there must be a law against that or something. Besides, it would never happen! Grandpa Shea is so in love with Grandma and will be forever.

It was so refreshing to have my grandpa come with us on an outing. He hasn't been able to do that for so long. He was so cute, taking pictures of everything. He seems like a huge burden has been lifted since my Alzheimer-stricken grandma died. He spent every minute of his day taking care of her. He misses her so much, but I think he almost feels closer to her now that she has passed on. Her birthday was on the 8th and Grandpa still wanted to have a party for her. It was so sweet. He bought a cake and we sang to her (talk about a tear-jerker!) I feel so blessed that my life is full of so many examples of unconditional love.

Seriously, this weekend was so wonderful. I've been thinking about my mom and dad and how much I miss them. Where are we going to end up when Josh is done with his internship?

Pros of staying in Utah:
1. Staying close to extended family (siblings, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles for both me and Josh) and friends (essentially mhuff and phuff, since all our other friends will be ditching us and spreading out all over the country. In reality, do I really need any other friends besides Miss and Paul? I think not.)

2. Not having to move.
3. Josh could stay teaching in Springville for a while.
4. Josh could go to grad school at BYU, which would be considerably cheaper than anywhere else.

Cons of staying in Utah:
1. Both our parents and many siblings are in the northwest. We want to have babies soon. (No announcement being made!) I want my kids to be close to their grandparents. I want to be close to our parents. As mentioned before, I miss them! Besides, my mom has already promised to take me and the baby to lunch all the time and to be able to hang out with her whenever I want. This is a very strong pull.
2. Staying in Utah.
3. The weather! The word "hate" does not even begin to describe my feelings for Utah winters. It is not only Utah that I hate, but any state that receives frequent snow meets with utter disdain from yours truly. I have strictly forbidden Josh from even considering living in the Great Lakes region or the Dakotas. The thought of me and my baby forging Utah's January is enough to make my skin crawl.
4. I miss Oregon. It's a beautiful location. Josh and I fell in love in Portland and it will always be a great place to me because of that.

Essentially, this is all pointless for me to think about since we don't need to make any kind of a decision until Josh is done with his internship. It is just fun for me to contemplate options. Now it is time for me to look around on the baby center website for a while and get my daily torture time in. Until later!

Am I already becoming a livejournal junkie? Two entries in one day? WOAW! Slow down, girl. I was reading Steve Grawrock's journal and saw this quiz. It's pretty accurate, and I did love Donnie Darko. I thought Josh might be amused. Congratulations, you scored Mindfunk. You've probably seen a lot of movies, and have grown to hate mainstream crap. You're looking for the movie that will leave you breathless, and with 21 questions to think about.
